For some reason i have really got into this band. It took me a couple of listens, but they're pretty F**king good. They have 4 albums I think, and are from Newcastle. They used to be a live band ages ago, but are now just record their music (they don't gig anymore). Four piece band, with Tim Yatras (ex-Dungeon, ex-LORD) on drums, alongside co-founders Adam Smith and Jason Hodges. Being a project sorta band, they've been through a few vocalists. LT was a vocalist for them on two albums I think, so I'll be sure to get hold of them soon. Currently, or on their latest album, Mike Dimeo of MASTERPLAN is on vocals. This guy is a top vocalist.

Anyways, the best way to describe them is power metal. But I wouldn't call them your typical power metal, even though they do focus on mythical themes, so give them a spin at http://www.myspace.com/iliummetal. If you like them, support Aussie metal and buy their CD. I recently bought their latest CD and its pretty damn good. Add them on myspace and facebook and spread the word. Aussie metal has some of the best bands out there! Let us know what you think too.

I think they are fantastic. I am a fan of Iliums and have their first CD and also bought Jasons book. check it out on his website.

These guys usually have every power metal release under the sun. It's a US site, so if you buy in bulk you'll get it cheaper.
