Vicki did u ask about an Australian tour? Nah.. no point asking Bruce. Did give him that DC wristband + note and tell him it was from us in Australia tho, and talk about how I come over to see them, and was wearing the DC t-shirt, and held the flag in Steve's face at the gig. Not that I reckon any of it'd help at all to get them here, but maybe make someone feel bad for 5 mins. : p

I know this isn't about Maiden in Oz, but in case anyone was speculating about timeframes for if they did magically appear here, Maiden's playing Donnington in June.
More info:

They are playing all the classics again at Donnington too. It's not part of the AMOLAD tour.

30/01/2007IRON MAIDEN confirm record breaking Fourth appearance at Donington Download Festival 2007
Following the official announcement this evening on BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe show, Iron Maiden are very proud indeed to confirm they will be once again headlining at this years Download Festival on Sunday June 10 2007, making this a record breaking fourth headline appearance at the world famous Donington Park venue.
The first time Maiden ever played at Donington was when they topped the bill in 1988, with Kiss and Guns N’ Roses among the supports, playing to over 100,000 people - the biggest Donington crowd by far and still the biggest Metal show ever in the UK - returning again in 1992 and 2003.
Says Bruce Dickinson 'Our fans know that Donington is a special place for Maiden and we are all looking forward to getting back there for a fourth time. The 'A Matter of Life and Death UK Tour' last December was very special for us and we very much appreciated the fans giving us such great support in us playing the whole album which, lets face it, was not necessarily the easiest thing to do for us or them! It was definitely the right challenge for us at that time but outdoors in the summer is different and as a thank you to our fans we will be including quite a few more 'classic' favourites balanced with some of the tracks from the new album. We will naturally bring Eddie and his toys along, so all in all it should be a great day for everybody!!'
Tickets will be going on sale TOMORROW MORNING (Wednesday 31st January) at 9.00am and are available from the official website for the festival downloadfestival.co.uk or the credit card hotline 0870 400 0822.
Headline acts for the other two days are My Chemical Romance on Friday 8th and Linkin Park on Saturday 9th and further announcements of other artists that have been confirmed for the main stage, the line up for the other stages and the full press announcement about the headline acts can be found on the official Download Website. downloadfestival.co.uk
As the official website, downloadfestival.co.uk will contain all information about camping, accommodation and all the packages, as well as information on the transport facilities available.

01/02/2007IRON MAIDEN AT FIELDS OF ROCK
Iron Maiden are looking forward to returning to Holland to play at Fields of Rock Festival for the first time and will close the festival on the first day on the main stage. Last year in November on their phenomenally successful “A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH WORLD TOUR” they gave a stunning performance to 14,000 fans at Brabanthallen in Den Bosch which sold out in record time. Fields of Rock takes place at June 16 and 17 at the Evenemententerrein Walibi World in Biddinghuizen. Ticket sales start Saturday February 10th.
After the great success of the first 2 editions of Fields of Rock in the Goffertpark, the organisers have announced earlier the festival is moving to the Evenemententerrein Walibi World in Biddinghuizen. This year Fields of Rock again has a very strong line-up. Other acts to be confirmed at announcement include Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society, Motörhead and Life Of Agony.
The third edition of Fields of Rock is more than one day and has a camp-site. There will be 3 stages with a minimal of 15 bands. Beside to the main stage and the tent stage there also will be a smaller third outdoor stage. The names of the three stages will be decided by the audience through our website. News about the line-up for the three stages will be announced on fieldsofrock.nl. From now on all available festival information will be on this website.
For more information check fieldsofrock.nl
Ticket sales starts Saturday February 10th on 10 pm through ticketservice.nl, 0900-3001250
