Last night was the single greatest concert going experience of my life. Started with great seats in the silver lower section & there was plenty of air guitaring, fist raising, horns up, headbanging & singing/screaming going on in our section ;D Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner started and we made our way down to the front right hand side of the stage where there was a little area that all the HCW winners gathered. It was a fantastic spot to watch Mariner from with Janick within spitting distance. When powerslave started they moved us into the backstage area and gave us some instructions(didn't hear a word he said, lol ). Heaven can wait started & they moved us up to the curtain ready to go on. I was standing right next to Steve's spare basses(the old blue ones) next minute was our cue & we were ON STAGE WITH IRON FARKING MAIDEN. Seeing the crowd from up there is a truly awesome thing. I was trying to take everything in, savor the experience & i was singing my lungs out at the same time. Then it was time to come off & i nearly wiped out Steve Harris in the process I must say Steve & Bruce are a lot shorter than i imagined. It was over in a flash & we were ushered to the side of the stage & pushed back out into the crowd. We made our way up to the mixing desk and watched the rest of the show from there. Plenty of high fives & horns up from people for our efforts, ha ha. By the time the show finished i was absolutely exhausted. As i said, easily the best gig i have ever seen & not just 'cause of the HCW thing, that just pushed it over the top ;D

Awesome man - can only imagine how mind blowing that would have been.
Did they change the setlist at all between the two shows? Am interested to see if they're mixing it up at all (esp. when playing two shows in the same city).

Maiden dont mix things up i'm afraid EVER. lol The furthest they went was changing the order of thew songs slightly...I think they'll stay in that order for the rest of the tour now.

cool - that's what I figured, just read somewhere that they were planning on changing setlists up a bit over the course of the tour.
Certainly not complaining - as it 'tis a kick arse set.
counting down till tomorrow night.

I liked the 2nd night better than the first personally... Did u get an actual barrier spot? How was it? I dfunno which one i liked better, probably the saeond a bit more, but i was in seats rocking ouyt violently, i didnt have to hold off 5000 people behind me wanting my barrier spot so maybe thats why? Dunno. GO DAMAGE, You had a BDU shirt right? If so then i saw u and it was so cool!!

The band were tighter on the 2nd night, I really enjoyed having my own space and really hearing the band properly as opposed to the first night.
Rime and Powerslave were much better I thought also, so I enjoyed those songs greatly last night.
Loved my FTTB experience but am happy to leave it there. I'll be back by the mixing desk tomrorow night in Sydney taking it in from the floor.
I'm surprised I still have a little bit of a voice too, the booze must be keeping it in check.

I was standing right in the middle between Bruce & Steve. I picked that spot on purpose for MAXIMUM EXPOSURE ;D I'm still buzzing, i just want to jump on a plane & follow 'em to Sydney

Well done Beetle... HCW was cool to see last night WHAT A GIG - BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN...!!! That was such an insanely mad gig, the band fed off the energy in the room and lifted so much compared to first night... Did anyone see what happened to that person in the seats with all the st johns ambulance people.. Bruce looked very concerned.. I think FTTB must have been worse as he told the crowd to back up during NOTB... I was first row (on the rail) dead centre behind mixing desk... awesome view, awesome sound - had IronDave next to me and we went NUTS - air guitar, headbanging singing - taking photos and video...

26yr's I've been following Maiden with Mr Damage and fark me! that was the best I've ever seen and I've seen a shit load. I went so farking nut's at the beginning my voice was farked by the 4th song (not allowed to sing that loud at home) but I troopered on and got a second wind in Rhyme of the ancient mariner which saw me 'POWER' through to the end. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! somebody pinch me. ;D I was so high on cloud 9, I didn't even notice Brucey standing next to me in HCW till I saw some photo's. Doh!
