Official - Iron Maiden to tour Australia in Feb'08

G'day all,

As some of you may know Iron Maiden have finally announced an Australian tour for early next year. It's been almost 15 years since last we saw the lads perform on Aussie soil, and I believe like many others, think it would be only fitting to choose an Aussie act(s) to support and open for Iron Maiden.

My two preferences are Sydney's "LORD", and Melbourne's "Black Majesty". Both have had high fame in both the local scene and international metal scene. Both have a large following of friends and fans spanning all around the globe, and both have recently released new albums. LORD's, "Ascendence" and Black Majesty's, "Tomorrowland". If you agree with me and think that both LORD and Black Majesty would be a great selection and collaboration for the Iron Maiden Australian tour, please sign this petition, and as soon as I have enough signatures I will personally send it off to Iron Maiden's management to see if our calls will be answered.

Please support Aussie metal, it's a worthy cause and will be a greatly appreciated by both the bands and the local metal scene.

Keep metal alive in Australia, support our metal brothers and sisters. *metal horns*

It's pretty staright forward which is what we need, if you have anything I should add please tell me now as Im about to upload it in about 5 minutes.

Yep, I know all of that.

However, I am hoping that they only charge me once and besides you get goodies in the mail with the Fan Club and that is worth the extra regardless.

Also, I have wanted to be a FC member for near on 8 years and didn't have the motorvation before, but I DO now!

Anyway it is only money and what is $22 if they charge me for both when one is good enough?

I agree, please split the posts! No problem and your not bad, but hey I don't really care about the support group, only the number one act.

I understand though it is important, but not the end of the world in my opinion.


On that topic what we need is MaidenOz to sing all of the 'New' stuff, now that would be really cool. It would be something that would ease the pain of 'only' hearing a small portion of Iron Maiden's possible setlist.

Oh well in a hurry at 0600 this morning I didn't really read it all and I actually thought I had bought the FanClub membership, which is what I wanted.

Shit happens and it isn't the end of the world. Maybe I can buy 8 tickets for each show!
