Will have to book the 11:35am from Sydney to Brissie on the 11th. Still haven't decided what i'm doing for accomodation as yet, i have plenty of places to stay (friends, relatives) but i am thinking of staying in the city so i can do a bit of sight seeing. Is Sydney hard to get around with the public transport because i'm gonna be a stranger in a strange land? No. Doesn't JETSTAR only leave from Avalon? Which would mean we have to get the SUNBUS? I would also like to go on the later flight on Friday the 8th (but if the group on the whole wants to go earlier im up for that too, not fussed): flight number JQ 30 $79.00 cost: $79.00 Leaves Tullamarine Airport 11:25am Arrives Sydney Airport 12:50pm As for the Sydney to Brisbane flight on Monday the 11th, once again I would rather get onto the later flight: flight number JQ 818 cost: $79.00 Leaves Sydney Airport 1:30 pm Arrives Brisbane Airport 2:00 pm So to summarise STORMSTER wants to fly JQ 30 (melbourne to sydney) and JQ 818 (sydney to brisbane)

Virgin Blue have also got some $79 sale fares but they leave MUCH earlier in the morning like the latest flight at that price is 6:45 am....
Pay off is... I've heard of more troubles with people flying jetstar having their flights cacelled on em at the last minute with no refunds, than I have heard of it happening with virginblue.
can I get an indication of what all you travellers wannna do pretty soon pretty please? The sooner we can book a flight the better.
Do you wanna travel all together? Or would you prefer to just go ahead and make the booking on your own in your own time on the flight you personally prefer, regardless of when anyone else is booked?
I kinda wanna know where we all stand no later than the end of the month if possible.
thanks all

Don't know where to post this but can someone tell me how far Sydney airport is from the acer arena? Got a good hotel in mind, Thanks by car and using the motorway its about 30 kms. By train you would have to get a train from the domestic terminal to central then a train to lidcombe then a train to olympic par and would take up to an hour

unless you want to go ight seeing around sydney your better off getting a hotel around Parramatta or at worse Penrith - would be cheaper than the city , Parramatta is only a few minutes away by train from Acer Penrith is about as far from acer as the city but you will be able to get cheaper hotels - plus its Panther territory which makes it better than Sydney.
