F**k me, how good was last night. i was on the barrier all night-toughed it out, probably the littlest bloke up there. ribs are so goddamn tender but it was worth it. bruce flying straight at ya- had steve on our side virtually the whole night. even scored a steve harris wristband. got on the big screen at least 5 times so hopefully i make the doco the big screen stuff wasnt for the doco, just for the screen on the night, Sam had his own camera so that would be the only stuff going into the doco. I'm feeling your rib pain today though man, it was hard work up there thats for sure. Nothing a few beers wont fix today though!

A great night. Got off to a bad start when my "mate" turned up 40 minutes late & traffic through the city killed any chance of getting FTTB on time. Bumped into Irongaz out the front(the t-shirts make member spotting very easy). Before Maiden started i met Kerna & his mates, Steven Thorpe & Tazz. Highlights from the show for me was Aces High, Revelations, Powerslave, Fear of the Dark(The crowd singing gave me goosebumps) & of course Hallowed. Briefly said hello to Wrathchild & Stormster while looking like a drowned rat outside the Corner Hotel. Hope to catch up with you guys for a longer chat tonight

Briefly said hello to Wrathchild & Stormster while looking like a drowned rat outside the Corner Hotel. Hope to catch up with you guys for a longer chat tonight SMS ME ur number 0403293779 PEOPLE - All i can say is that FTTB is an experience! As hard and tough as it was (F**ken believe it!) to be SO CLOSE to people who play the music i so dearly love, its like, just awesome. I couldnt airguitar at all really, but just for one show, u have to experience it. I won for brisbane and im going again, but i dunno how smart that is but i won it so i have to. I got 3 shows up until brisbane to air guitar my heart out. One thing though, if you DONT get the BARRIER, just leave and come back 3 hours later. If you dont get the barrier, trust me, u will die. People at the barrier wont let you on the barrier (like we were last night, fightingpeople off all night comprises your enjoyment a little), and you most likely will feel likely faintly if its as intense as last night. Beetle reckoned after a few songs they'd stop pushing, did they? HELL NO. My neck is so sore, i dont have rib problems but do have a bruise or two. Its an experience, as for doing it at every show? F**k THAT! Looking forward to air guitaring in my gold seats today and sinking some well earned beer. BEETLE, YOU'RE A CHAMP. It was so good to be with you and iron brother, people who like maiden as much as me and who are my friends. I will remember it forever, my frist maiden gig, at the front, with my two mates. F**k me it was killer.

Both shows now Bruce has made mention about having been away for too long and that they would continue to come back now.... I asked Rod at the pub last night if Bruce was just blowing smoke up our arse or if they would really come back.... Rod said that they would... and probably even next year....

I won FFTB for Brisbane. I so desperately want to actually be at the barrier, but I dislike intense moshpits. Let it be said that I am not in good physical shape. I'm tall, wide, and can hold my ground, but after 10 seconds in a Dragonforce moshpit, I had to get out.
All of this talk of bruised ribs and complete exhaustion are starting to seriously scare me. By some of the talk in here, I'm halfway towards giving up this opportunity because I am afraid for my own physical well being. Please tell me, are you guys exaggerating? Was it really as painful and exhausting as you all make it sound, or are you all exaggerating a bit? Please be honest, becuase what you people say will affect my decision.

I didnt cop any elbows, or knees, but people always want to squeeze in between the person right beside you and urself, and you prety much have to hold your ground. The whole crowd will push forward, you can handle it, just hold your ground and you'll be fine. You will be able to breathe, but i guarantee by the end of the gig,u will be exhauseted and u might have bruises the next day because of the crowd pushing you up to the barrier and u having to tense up. John, knowing you, you probably wouldnt like it, but providing u get the barrier u have something to hold on to so u wont really get moved around like we were at dragonforce, if we DONT get the barrier, F**k it, go ouside and come back 2 hous later. All in ALL u are at the barri for about 5 hours. People start pushing and shit during vanishing point and all throughout maiden, i think brisbane will be less intense than melbourne. You CAN take it john, whether u'd want to or not i dunno. Guarantee you tho, havign steve within touching distance screaming into your face is F**king killer. Off to maiden 2nd show F**k yeh

Fuuuuuuuuuuck that was an awesome day/night/experience! Camped out the bands' hotel with watto for a few hours in the arvo, and managed to meet nicko, adrian and steve getting photos and sigs. Totally missed dave, despite him supposedly walking past us twice, GAH damn ninja! Glimpsed Janick as he wizzed past.
I had FTTB for the show and was holding on for grim death right next to stormster -- got plenty of action from dave, adrian and steve. It was an awesome experience, being so close to our idols. I caught a pick and a wristband off Dave! Downside of FTTB was the sound wasn't that well balanced from that close up and my ribs got a hammering.
I have no idea what the perth audience was like, but i guarantee you that audience at this show was abso-F**king-lutely insane! Totally full house, and the atmosphere was electric! All the seated people were leaping up and cheering and clapping far more than i've ever seen at any concert before. I could barely hear bruce over the horde of fans screaming out most every single lyric by heart. The whole night is just a surreal and awesome beyond words memory in my mind.
BTW I love the google ads for this page: Pain at Right Rib, Abdominal Pain Nausea, Alcohol Pain LOL how very apt.

If so, I'm all for it. I either want to be at the barrier with something to hold onto, or further back so I can air-guitar or at least not be thrown around. I swear, at the Dragonforce gig my feet weren't even touching the floor. I was being completely suspended in the air by the pressure of hot sweaty bodies surrounding me. And since they were all male, it wasn't pleasant.
