hey there stormster,you have some what proven one of the points i was making and don't take this as a personal swipe at your character.you have stated that because it is MAIDEN you will eventually buy it,i ask you this as a major fan you would more than likely own the cd's these songs all ready appear on so why would you need to buy a 2nd version of these,you wouldn't buy the same book twice unless your first copy was destroyed or missing.that is basically were my opinion is on the release of these sort of albums is at and the same goes with new records we as fans may deem as inferior quality of songs.don't just purchase it because you may fear others may consider you less of a fan

Hey axes, just getting it to complete a collection, not because people will consider me less of a fan. I have all the maiden studio and live albums, may not have the rarities but i think everyone knows that I'm a fan ;D I understand that people dont want to buy these stupid best ofs. The best ofs are the worst in the maiden catalogue lol, im just doing it to complete a collection.

glad you saw the point i was making,i myself don't have all the maiden albums due to my dislike of certain releases but i have listened to all of them to decide weather it was worth the odd $30 investment and as of lately there past 2 albums and there 90's releases i felt my money was better spent elsewhere,no point having a collection of albums if i will only listen to half of it anyway.i did at one stage own NO PRAYER and FEAR OF THE DARK and realized i didn't enjoy them so i passed them on to someone who did, would i be considered less of a fan for doing that or someone who strives for quality and not quantity

wasn't slagging anyone off for buying this cd,just addressing my own point of view on the issue of bands releasing such albums.as most would realize music is truely a personal thing and there are many different tastes and points of views concerning this subject,and now and then we get the sometimes rare oppurtunity to meet others who share a similar passion.i for one would never say the bands i listen to are better than what some one else listens to, but i will stand proud of what i choose to listen to as would you guys here on this forum.as sands said he's buying it cause he can,thats the beautifull freedom we all have or at least should have,so once again i say, in no way would i criticize individuals for purchasing this or any other albums that come out,was just raising a thought on the subject.P;S i still love listening to MAIDEN

If Maiden really wanted to put out a best of the 80's all they needed to do was do a reissue of 7th Son ! Nothing else in that decade ( or since for that matter ) even comes close .
