I went to the Sydney show last night. Quiet honestly it was very close to the best gig i've ever seen. I'm not a hugh Dream Theater fan, and find it hard to get through alot of their albums in one sitting, but they define perfectionist. The sound was 100% spot on! Not one note was missed, and I think their music is as complicated as it gets for a metal/rock band.
I know most people are going to brush me off when I say this, but if they tour again you should see them, even if you don't like their music so much on CD. The three hours flew and I had a blast. I hope Maiden can keep it up, because it's going to be very hard to top a show like I saw last night, and i've seen most metal bands (and Maiden).

Sounds like you think of them like i do, like some things, dont care for other bits of their music, and i was tossing up whether to go or not, instead i opted to work, but now i wish i went. My mate Ferret said it was seriously the best gig he has "ever" seen. He would say that though, they're his favourite band, but to hear that from you, now i wish i went. F**k.

^HAHA Duff poor sands oh well could be a good concert!  DT sounds amazing live I am not into them much shame. (I said Gammaray and Metallica was the best so far for me....but I know Maiden will top it) ;D |

I've been to a lot of shows in the past 29 years and seen a lot of bands, but that would have to of been one of the best i've seen. Mike Portnoy's drumkit was worth the price of admission, i want one! Sands, that set list is a bit different from sydney, good to see they change it round a bit. I thought they put on a brilliant show, i wish i was not so sick, cos i didnt have as good of a time as i wanted, poor me sitting up the back coughing and blowin snot out me nose hole, headache and just feeling crap!
Anyway, wicked show and mike sounded confident theyd be back from what he said to us at sydney.
p.s YES!!! His drum kit was awesome!!! nearly took up the whole stage!!
