My vote goes for mewtallica. I am not sure what thrash is, people say Sodom, then they say metallica, its totally different (and yes i am only talk 80 tallica). But the only 3 bands i like from that list are metallica, megadeth and anthRAX. Dont mind slayer. Havent heard much of the rest to make a judgement.

if we're talking of all time and not current it's got to be either Metallica or Slayer. I'd have to give the points here to Metallica though, for what they produced with their first 5 albums.
Slayer are awesome, but have never really had a great deal of variance with their songs over their entire carreer. That can be seen as a fantastic thing but a negative at the same time I think. I still love them though.

i went kreator but love overkill,also slayer some of those other bands have shifted from thrash to radio listenable commercial SCUM,sorry if i offended anyone but i love metal and when i see and hear bands chase the dollar their core value of being in this scene goes out the door i.e LOAD album that aint metal its BULLOCKS

totally agree with you beetle yeah why no sepultura seen those boys on 2 occasions ARISE tour 92 and AGAINST tour 99 kicked ass both times
