I thought it was pretty average to be honest. I know Dianno had a bad knee but the guys a pure nutter.
Glad I went but it made no impression on me whatsoever.

Beetle mate, didn't see you there???
I enjoyed it, he is so past it but he obviously tried hard, he was honest when he said he was knackered - ha. The music was great, I actually liked his solo stuff, really heavy sound. He is very Punk isn't he.. haha
I thought he was a little too outspoken - political etc... music was great his band are awesome.
Good night out for $50, sure beats going to see Pink or some other crap lol...

Amazing show last night. I loved his solo work. F**k, my neck is still sore. The Maiden material was just sublime The band were top notch too. I'll be keeping an eye out for his CD's at work from now on. ;D Here are some pics I took. I wanted to get some of the drummer, but I didn't want to move from my prime location. lol! I have to disagree - Bad knee or not I don't think he put much effort in - I thought he mostly stood up there and went through the motions... but maybe that was just me...

I thought it was a great night out especially for the cost. The other bands were fantastic too!

^ I agree, 4 bands for 50 bucks = good value. Was great to catch up with some of the members, Stephen Thorpe & Mrs, Tazz, Anwar and Wrathchild (sorry i couldn't hang around to chat more) Black Majesty were the pick of the night for mine, but I still enjoyed Di'anno. It was worth it just to see Phantom

After seeing DiAnno, I have to say I wasnt all that impressed with him. The maiden stuff was good but it seemed he was simply going through the motions.
However, it DOES make you realise what a top-notch band we have right in our backyard in Black Majesty!

I am not into the other bands, tried to get there fairly late to miss them so the extra bands for me added nothing.
Not trying to sound negative, if others like them great, I just wanted to see Paul to see a bit of maiden history - am not into going out to see other local metal bands - have too much to listen to as it is anyway! haha
