Paul Cashmere of Australia's Undercover News reports: Following IRON MAIDEN's rapid sell-out within 25 minutes in Melbourne this morning (September 27), Sydney was also quick to respond with a sell-out show at Acer Arena within an hour.
Promoter Paul Dainty said, "Sales have been phenomenal. Ticketek advised me this morning that the queues have been the longest at their ticket outlets for any on-sale for ages."
Sydney will likewise now have a second show on Sunday, February 10.
According to Dainty, the second shows for Sydney and Melbourne will definitely be the last of the IRON MAIDEN shows added to the Australian tour because of limited time in the country.
The Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008 will see IRON MAIDEN perform major concerts in 20 selected cities on five continents in seven weeks including India, Japan, North America, Central and South America, and, of course, Australia.
Somewhere Back In Time - Australia 2008 dates are as follows:
Feb. 04 - Burswood Dome - Perth, Australia
Feb. 06 - Rod Laver Arena - Melbourne, Australia
Feb. 07 - Rod Laver Arena - Melbourne, Australia
Feb. 09 - Acer Arena - Sydney, Australia
Feb. 10 - Acer Arena - Sydney, Australia
Feb. 12 - Entertainment Centre - Brisbane, Australia

All this bodes REALLY well for future tours.. I know that sounds weird but the better they do, i.e. ticket sales for this tour the more chance we all have of another tour before they retire! I have heard talk of a farewell tour in a few years time, hopefully they come downunder once more at least so we can say goodbye!

At 11 me and john bought our silver seats (we think they're cheaper and dead center in front of the stage thats why we got them). Row M. Then we got troopers, same section, Row O. Then another 2 tix, Row R, then we got robbie's ticket, ROW S. Im loving this shit! SECTION 5 for Sydney's second show is gnna F***ing GO OFF! EDIT - Wrathchild, get section 5 silver and joni in the fun!! |

The second sydney show has everything available, i was mucking around in tt then and could get 10 X GA gold if i wanted, also gold seating. i just had row a, section four for acer, thats awesome! but i aint gonna buy em but - good see theres plenty there for everyone now anyway. i feel silly rushing around like mad last week now!

Damn I missed whole thing!! I was yesterday at Helsinki and I was driving back tonight (it's 9:36 AM in here right now) so I wasn't able to get on the internet. Well there's still gold floor available at Sydney but I couldn't reach vbuk with my phone, argh. I just might purchase those tickets anyway. |

Woohoo! My mate Gary got me a gold floor ticket for the second show. This is insane, he told me the first show sold out in 4 minutes with the remaining tickets from todays sale. lol! I wonder if they'll do another show? I reckon everyone will be bankrupt if that happened. All i need to do now is book a hotel. |

When did they announce the second show in Melbourne?By the time i found out at 2 in the afternoon and raced to chadstone to get a ticket they only just managed to get me a gold seat in section 20,i'm pretty pissed off that i couldn't get a gold standing though.I checked the website before i went to bed and it didn't say anything about a second show,bugger.
