How are the charts measured? Do maiden have to outsell what they achieved in the first week to go up places? Or is it jsut what they sold in the 2nd week compared to others? Or is it what they sold in the 1st/2nd week compared to how many other artists have sold whilst their albums have been out. Please explain how it works.. Its a position, based on units sold for that week. So hypothetically their could be more units shipped from EMI out to stores for the second week, but the chart position may drop, if there were 12 other bands that sold more units in the second week. Hope that makes sense...  I'd say the chart position would go down then... Because there would probably be new releases out this week. But then again there were a few albums that have been out for awhile that were ahead of maiden so here's hoping they sell less! I'd love to see maiden in the top 10. |

I was walking past a "Sanity" store today & out of curiosity i went inside to see if they had the new album. They have a big wall down one side of the shop with the top twenty albums all layed out & numbered acording to the chart position. Of course i straight away look for #12. ?? mmm 9, 10, 11, 13, 14.... thats right, no Maiden album in sight, they even took the freakin number away like it didn't even exist. f**k i hate sanity even more than usual now.

Better still, post the number here and we will all f**king ring them, make sure you talk to the manager.
Tell them that you want to buy 5 copies of it for a competition that we have, maybe then they might listen!!
