I feel cleansed now. I just got back from JB Hi Fi & i was more than pleased to see that A Matter Of Life And Death is sitting at number 3 on the instore top 10. Was at JB Eastland today... it wasn't in their top 10/20 or whatever the list was at all...

I havent set foot in my local JB since I bought the album. From what i saw at maidenfans it is the European #1 and it is number 4 on the worldwidecharts.

Tell the guy in Utopia he's a misinformed wanker - when i was in utopia last week the window display was shit - the A in maiden was around the wrong way!

21 is a good position for week 2. Many of Maidens best albums didnt even debut that high..... will be interesting to see how quickly it drops out of the top 50.

^ any conspiracy theorists here? Would EMI purposely delay delivery so as to achieve a lower position in week one, coz they obviously can't be arsed with Maiden.

They've been wankers for years in Utopia, ever since they moved out of Martin Place. Sales guys come off as wannabe Rock Stars or Rock Journos.
Although there has been one or two exceptions. When The Wicker Man came out, I was there before the day of release to ask what time it would be instore as I at the time just worked around the corner. As he double checked with the manager the shipment turned up at that moment just before closing. So the manager sold me a copy before it hit the shelf.

oooh hehehehehe... so anything that goes against things they stand for can be quashed... hmmm... I wonder if they support the Bush administration, so they don't like what Maiden has to say about war and especially what is mentioned on this new album : p a-ha!
