Hanging for it. How exciting for you to be there. Have fun!  There're some good bands there.. Though like everyone said.. there're so many crap bands for my liking. But hey.. I think, apart from the obvious IM, bands like Dream Theater, Dimmu Borgir, Megadeth, WT, Shadow Fall make it's worth the pain and agony of sitting through shits like MCR, Linkin Park, Korn and MM... And I choose Wolfmother over Evanescence or Velvet Revolver anytime of the day.. Though that rarely means anything.. |

Stormster, I now officially envy you - I wish I hadnt seen a Lord of the Rings film - Peter Jackson owes me 9 hours of my life back! I dislike like power metal to the extreme because I see it as a joke. How anyone can take a band in cod pieces brandishing battle axes singing about Odin and dying battle in order to enter Valhalla or about prancing around middle earth , I really dont understand. There are Lord of the rings books and movies - we dont need a F**king album dedicated to it aswell! Now for wolfmother - there is 2007 not 1969 - if i want to listen to music that soiunds like it should have been recorded over 30 years ago I will listen to a band that actually recorded it at that time. PLus the singer has a really bad curly do that reminds me of Willie Mason ( all Melbournians with the exception of Mitch wont get that ! ) so I have to hate them :-) ! Our view on fantasy subjects couldn't be more different.. I'm a fantasy freak which explain why LOTR is my fav movie, power and viking metal are among my fav genres of music and I you can guess what kind of books I've been reading.. I think legendary tales and fantasy fictions are timeless. Unlike the real-life issues which can get old easily when the world moves on. I hope I'm not counted as having a bad taste in music based on the subject, not the music itself..  |
