During a 3-hour break at uni, I went and saw THE LAKEHOUSE in Parramatta(Sydney). I would have seen MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND but I couldn't find it in their movie listings on their website.
THE LAKEHOUSE was.... extremely mediocre. That's the best way I can put it. Of course with these movies where people fall in love across time and try to meet each other and etc... usually have a sad ending which you can normally see a mile away (person from past dies before person from future begins contacting them) and so on.
Surprisingly, this movie didn't follow that route. It looked like it did until like 5 minutes before the end, and spun around and surprised me. I guess that redeemed the movie a bit in my eyes, but no way I'd get it on DVD unless it hit the $5 bin.

For those that liked Bat Man begins, the sequel will in cinemas in 2008. Its title is Bat Man - Dark Knight ( which I think is cool. What i dont think is cool is that Heath Ledger is onboard to play the Joker  |

i started to watch The Producers tonight... turned it off after half an hour. absolutely pathetic, comedy my ass!

I love the old mel brooks movies but the producers looks like crap so i never bothered wasting my time with it.

At least it is trying to be a little different to all the crap that is pumped out there (sequels and boring bloody superhero movies). It's well written, acted and directed and there was nothing gay in it, sure you just didn't watch Brokeback Mountain  |

Really? I LOVED The Producers. But, I happen to like certain types of musicals a lot, so perhaps that helped.
The problem with what you did is you only watched half an hour of it... even I, someone who enjoys it immensly, has to admit that it starts out rather slow. The first 45-mins are rather "meh", but mostly everything else afterwards is pure gold. The old-lady dance, Will Ferrel's "Der Gutten Tag Hop-Clop", acquiring the crappy (and extremely gay) director, the actual performance of "Springtime for Hitler", it's all classic.
And if you wait till after the credits, there is a 30-second short musical performance with MEL BROOKS at the very end.

It's meant to be B grade crap which i seriously love, it's all a bit of fun ;D unlike Silent Hill which is another PS game made for the big screen. At about the 30min mark it dissapeared up it's own asshole, complete and utter rubbish.

Snakes on a plane. What a fucking piece of shit for a title! Not to mention how pathetic the movie actually looked in the preview. Besides, what kind of dickmunch would put them things on a plane to start with?
As for that brick piece of crap. I walked out half way through it made me sick so much. The yankee lingo gave me the utter shits to start with, not to mention the Vice Principal who acted like the cheif of police too. Then you got high school kids acting like underworld crims. The whole film had no direction, no plot and was just full of boring mindless floungie! Bottom line is that it stinked which is why it only lasted a week on the screen to begin with!
I say bring on Sesame street!
