who really gives a F**k people weve waited 15 F**king yrs for MAIDEN to come here now they are ans all we do is complain about who is support or what the set list is ffs WHO CARES MAIDEN ARE IN AUSTRALIA it could be FALLOUT BOT OR MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE OR 50 CENT i couldnt give a flying F**k im seeing MAIDEN in my home land (end rant)  Spot on mate. I'm not that fussed about lauren supporting, I'll go open minded for a look in Perth, if she sucks I'll give her a miss for the rest. Considering the last big gig I saw was kisschasy/good charlotte (took the neighbours kid) anything will be better then that. |

UGH - just watched that Youtube video, OMG. I was always wondering why she wasnt all big and famous yet, i know why now. But noone said she had to follow in steves footsteps, i just assumed she would!

This news both sucks and blows. Im sure she's ok, but I would have rather wanted local acts opening for Maiden. Still, Maiden is coming and thats the important thing.  |

there will more than likely still be a local support. Lauren Harris will probably ( hopefully ) only do a 30min set.
There is still hope that LORD will get a support slot.

Mate i'm not disatisfied by any stretch, the chances for me were always going to be that Maiden would be supported by a band I dislike, given their genre. I dont care at all that she is supporting, I was just passing comment that I won't be interested in seeing her, but that would have more than likely been the case for whichever band got the support slot, given my tastes. Its all about maiden for me anyway. |

^yeah me too Besides she will be on for half an hour to 40 mins tops,then its pure Maiden all night, No one can Boo her off either as Steve may not come on stage  Like I said there is always the bar to hang out at if your not interested in being squashed in the crowd during the pop music time! |

Booing support bands is bloody low in my opinion, and Maiden fans tend to be some of the worst for this sadly.

And Midnight Oil fans, everytime i saw them when the support act was on (regardless of who it was) the chant of Oils! Oils! Oils! would go on throughout the entire set. I use to feel real sorry for these bands. |
