omg what. That is all good and all but Isn't her music classed as powerpop? I don't remember her being "pop" when I saw her in UK... I know that video is quite poppy but I remember her live show being a lot heavier. Either way I personally don't care for support acts... they are never usually any good

there will more than likely still be a local support. Lauren Harris will probably ( hopefully ) only do a 30min set. There is still hope that LORD will get a support slot. In UK last year you got Lauren Harris, Trivium and Maiden... so you might be right.... and I know I will get slammed here... but the fact is most of the fans here in oz (the older ones etc) won't know LORD nor will care anymore about LORD than Lauren Harris or anyone else... That is nothing against LORD as I have never heard them, you could replace LORD in above with any other local band and the comment would still stand. The majority of people won't care no matter who you put up as a support - you will never win unless they are a major international band. That is the nature of a support band in australia for a major touring band... Runs away now and hides....

I'm really surprised about some of these negative comments posted. It's not that bad is it, or are some people never satisfied Isn't Maiden enough? Don't get me wrong man, im seeing MAIDEN, its awesomeness, but with a local support it would go from 99.9% awesomeness to 100% awesomeness (presuming it was a band i liked lol). But im not really fussed at all. Booing support bands is bloody low in my opinion, and Maiden fans tend to be some of the worst for this sadly. I feel sorry for them thats why i don't boo, but if they're shit and i didnt feel bad about doing it, F**kin' oath id tell them to F**k off. omg what. That is all good and all but Isn't her music classed as powerpop? Lauren Harris will probably ( hopefully ) only do a 30min set. There is still hope that LORD will get a support slot. But i mean if there are 5-10000 people inside during the support act, most of which havent heard of the support act and are just wait for maiden, surely a few of them would be impressed by the support band. For a band like LORD or any other Australian band, that would be good. And extra 50 gig attendances would be awesome for them and would make a difference to the success of the local scene.

Stormster, I agree... that is why I think I said most (can't be bothered checking back)... there will always be a chance to get some new fans... but the majority just won't care... Good luck to whoever gets it.

When i saw Marilyn Manson this year they had a horrible support act, 'The Spazzy's'. Dunno if anyone here has heard of them, i hadnt. Man they sucked freaking ass. There should be a law, the support band must be of similar genre to main act! They got booed off saomething fearce, but they stuck it out and played their set, just hope same dont happen with Lauren, doubt it will tho.

According to a posting on the MySpace page of the London, UK-based hard rock band BURN IN REASON, the group — which features in its ranks George Harris, son of IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris — will support MAIDEN on the first leg of the Somewhere Back In Time World Tour.
Steve Harris' daughter, Lauren Harris, has already been confirmed as support for the first leg of the tour so this will be something of a family affair for Steve.
BURN IN REASON's first EP, "Far From Who We Are", is available to purchase using PayPal. The track listing for the effort is as follows:
01. Surrender 02. Alone In the Dark 03. Behind Those Eyes 04. Die For You Now 05. Closer 06. Find Faults To Love 07. Die For You Now (Acoustic)
BURN IN REASON is:
Jonny Speller - Vocals George Harris - Guitar Jack Dance – Bass/Vocals Sam Stuart - Drums
