Good luck I got a reply back and sent my info and photo in, I mentioned BDU  ;D i havent sent in the questionaire and photo yet - the only photo i have of myself on my PC is one of me biting into a leg of ham - you reckon that would be OK ? LOL!! Send that for sure. |

Send that for sure. i finally sent my survey thing back - using the above mentioned picture. The last question was a killer - something interesting about yourself that has nothing to do with Maiden. I told them I make the best potato salad in the known universe but i couldnt give them the recipe because its classified. |

Its a procedure they go through to hand pick individuals BUT it don't matter any more as Brian just told me on the phone: IT WAS ANNOUNCED ON TRIPLE JJJ radio show yesterday regarding this whole thing and meetup ;D  |

I haven't heard anything new from the Banger team, but I assume Triple J would have got confirmation first before telling the whole country. I just spoke to Brian he says it was on Triple JJJ and what he gathered it seemed sam dunn was asking about it, so all in all the guy was saying its a *Maiden afterparty* ;D

Good news all, everything is set in stone. I'll throw together a press release so I can promote the event on Triple J again and of course Screaming Symphony. Even with all the feedback and whatnot, I dont think there will be a massive group at the Corner. I reckon the most will get is something around 300 - 400 people tops, and upstairs easily holds 1000 people. And the people that are coming are the "hardcore fans", which seem to be the most down to earth, I dont think they want to be waiting outside of Rod Laver for 4 and half hours like all the other stooges . Ive also been in contact with a mate of mine who is a professional photographer aswell, his agreed to do a massive group shot at the Corner hotel and out the front Rod Laver Arena...but will organize that as the day gets closer. I'd also like to add that Sam Dunn, the main man from Metal: A Headbanger's Jounrney will be at the meet up asking any questions you have, plus having some beers with us aswell. Its looking to be on great event, I hope everyone can make it. I know alot of you thought it would be a mad house at the beginning, but serious I reckon the most will get is around 500 people tops. The rest will be to busy waiting outside of Rod Laver or probably still be at work. Anyway Im going to get in contact with Andrew Haug again, I think he may have confused Banger Productions putting this thing together. But in anycase it will be a good get together, have some drinks and enjoy some good ol' Maiden. See you all in a week and a bit. |
