Directors Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn of Banger Films Inc. — creators of the critically acclaimed, award-winning documentary "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" and its soon-to-be-released follow-up "Global Metal" — are looking for IRON MAIDEN fans to be part of a feature documentary that will follow the band's upcoming "Somewhere Back in Time" tour.
On Feburary 1, IRON MAIDEN and their 70-strong road crew will embark on their most ambitious tour ever. They will load into a specially refitted Astreaus Boeing 757 decked out in iconic Eddie artwork and carrying 12 tons of equipment. For this first leg of the tour, they will then fly over 70,000 km to 21 cities across four continents, playing to over 400,000 fans in just 45 days. All this with lead singer/commercial pilot Bruce Dickinson at the helm.
For the official tour documentary, Scot and Sam will follow the band in the air and on the stage, giving fans behind-the-scenes and front-and-centre access to the most anticipated metal tour of 2008. They are now seeking MAIDEN fans in Australia, Japan, India, North America, Central America and South America to be part of this historic mission.
If you're a die-hard MAIDEN fan who is attending one or more concerts on the first leg of the upcoming tour (February 1 to March 16, 2008) and are willing to be interviewed on camera about your passion for all things MAIDEN, please e-mail maiden@metalhistory.com and tell the filmmakers why YOU should be in this movie. All ages encouraged.

I'm in...Just an idea but I wonder if the producers will be interested in interviewing a whole group of us all at once to show the BDU community as a whole in different states to the world.
I reckon it would be cool to nominate some key spokespeople and have the rest of us there in the background at the same time.

Hey guys and girls...I emailed the producers to see if they were keen to include as part of their doco...here is a copy of the email I sent them....If I missed anything, feel free to email them. Hi, I just read that you are interested in having some fans interviewed for an upcoming Iron Maiden tour documentary and are interested in fans attending the first leg of the current tour. I am very interested to get involved in this project. My name is Nick. I live in Melbourne, Australia and I have been a Maiden fan for over 25 years. In Australia we have set up our own Iron Maiden fan club, “Beast Down Under” at www.beastdownunder.com which currently has over 100 active members. We talk to each other on a daily basis about all things Maiden-related and music-related in general. As an idea we were wondering if you would be interested in interviewing some of our members as a group interview to show the support that Maiden has all across Australia as well as rewarding the organizers and member of this fan club for keeping the Maiden flag flying in Australia for the 15 years since the last tour. We have all come from different backgrounds and are more than happy to contribute what Maiden means to us to your documentary. As a bit of background, for the upcoming tour many members are flying all over the country to support the band and see the shows. People that have never met have suddenly become best friends and room mates for the Oz tour. The club has arranged meet-ups, banners, fan club shirts, pre (and post) show parties for local, interstate, and international fans. Everyone is helping out everyone as much as possible and we feel BDU would be a great addition to the documentary you are putting together. We should be able to arrange interviews with our fan club members for most Australian cities where shows will take place if that will help you out at all. Please let me know your thoughts on this suggestion or if there is anything we can do to help you with your project. Cheers....Nick T

I'm sure they are looking for people without an intellectual disability. im sure they wouldnt mind interviewing a window licker , especially if theyre gonna lower their standards and interview a Victorian. i'm fairly sure the entire documentary will be based around the Victorian leg of the tour, they will no doubt be looking for class, true fans, attractive people that aren't snobbish or rude (ala Sydney people) and a city where there is plenty to enjoy. Sydney may get a run as far as mentioning where the band found the tour a little tiresome and monotonous but hey at leats you guys will get a mention.

Get 'em to come to the Corner Hotel for the big pre-gig meet up, I'm sure they'll get plenty of great footage & interviews plus all of us will be there regardless.
