I heard a copy of the first show - Charlotte USA on 27/9/07 and they sound awesome! 24 tracks plus guitar/drum solos jaust had a listen to this show - they sound shit hot. I agree... sometimes shows sound average on a bootleg but this show had me excited just from the boot...

TMZ.com reports that the VAN HALEN tour has just been cancelled.
Sources tell TMZ.com that arrangements are being made right now to cancel hotel stays for the tour — which was scheduled to continue through April 19. According to the site, the reason for the cancellation is guitarist Eddie Van Halen, who is said to be "having issues."
It should be noted, however, that VAN HALEN's representatives have yet to officially confirm that the remainder of the tour has been called off and the TMZ report should be treated as a rumor only.
VAN HALEN postponed two concerts last weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia and Duluth, Georgia. No reason was given for the postponements, but both were rescheduled for mid-March.
According to numerous unsubstantiated reports online, internal band tensions have been flaring up again as the tour has gone forward. The group hit the road last fall with original singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 22 years.
Argh! 'Kin typical

there is not enough room for the egos of roth and eddie VH in one band - this reunion was never gonna work - wish it had though. Maybe Eddie will wake up and realise now the Sammy was the best singer the band ever had.

I didn't dislike it, but as for being great, I don't know. Guess i should listen to some of the stuff you recommend.

Now i'm really confused Ray Waddell of Billboard.com reports: Despite reports to the contrary, sources with VAN HALEN tell Billboard the band's tour is not being canceled, though tonight's (March 3) scheduled show at the American Airlines Center in Dallas has been postponed and rescheduled for March 24. Three other dates have been postponed for undisclosed reasons. The source says the outing picks up on March 11 in Charlottesville, W.V., and a press release regarding the tour's status will be coming within 24 hours.

Yes i love F.U.C.K. and OU812 but 'Van Halen' (1978) is my fav. Runnin with the Devil and Ain't Talkin Bout Love are brilliant, the sound is so raw. mmmmmmm ;D

How can you say a band aren't that great and then admit to not knowing much of their stuff? They are one of the biggest and best rock bands ever to walk on this earth! Whether you like them personally or not you can't deny the impact they have had on guitar playing and rock music (how many front men have tried to be david lee roth?).

From what I've heard, they aren't that great. But i cbf saying "from what i've heard", cause i feel thats a given lol. But yeah, they might have had a big impact, dunno, dont really care. All the bands i listen to dont count them as an influence much at all so guess that says something. And about people imitating david lee roth, well, when i have many conversations about great singers and performers, he doesnt really hit the top end of conversation. In fact, i hardly ever hear him mentioned. Maybe i'm just hanging around the wrong crowd? Who knows.. Point is, from what I have heard i dont consider them great at all, I'd rather see Black Majesty, Vanishing Point or LORD.
