Enviro-Metal is a concept started by Ilium guitarist and author of supernatural thrillers, Jason Hodges. It was inspired by what Jason saw as a desperate need to bring awareness of the plight of the many thousand species of animals and plants that are critically endangered due to the greed, corruption and ignorance of man, whilst bringing prominence to the bands and music that he loves. Already many bands have agreed to be a part of this world first and we will, over time, put the banners of those bands who are supporting this cause on this page, along with a message for us all. The project will be an album containing many songs specifically written for the album by bands as dedicated to this cause as Jason. With each song will be a profile of an endangered species that the song is dedicated to. We are hoping to raise funds to help the World Wildlife Fund and other projects in their quest to help ensure the survival of our planet's most precious resources - its wildlife. www.myspace.com/envirometalwww.myspace.com/iliummetal

Yeh its a good cause. Im up for a fish, im up for doing stuff and using the environment, but the waste i see is just stupid. Like my dad, killing 50 small fish when 3 big fish would be better. Its just selfish stupid shit like that which F**ks everything. We can all have fun, just be responsible, sadly, 90% of the people in the world lack it.

I agree you need to be careful with things... but this enviro stuff is just the politically correct topic of the moment... it is all overblown and overhyped.... research the topic and find out how much FUD there is out there on this....

FUD? I think tis an overreaction political thing - but i still do see needless destruction of the environment and im against that.

Yeah i agree. Alot of it is probably just a scare tactic, just like Y2K was. Imagine the amount of money software companies made from that.
