I am sure maiden would need more than 5000 - 6000 in melbourne/sydney to make the tour viable..

That's some great reviews. I'm so keen for Tuesday night, plus up here in QLD it is a public holiday on Wednesday so that makes it even sweeter. Do they play Computer God?

DOWN got on pretty much half an hour after doors open - thye might be ur thing but i think they were shit. Is the brisbane gig on TUESDAY? How shit are DOWN lol. I couldnt help but laugh. Best gig i have ever been to besides Blind Guardian (and thats only cause i like them that much. Crowd was like 5-600 id say, surely maiden could atleast get that. It was just awesome, to see DIO, F***ing hell. I loved Vinny Appice's drum solo, these guys were so F***ing good. Iommi's doodle on the guitar for 10 between during heaven and hell was comletely awesome. F*** this gig rocked! EDIT - Sands, you will love it. I was thinking of you last night and just imagining how much you were going to dig this gig. As a matter of fact, if i didnt have my grand final qualifier for soccer today - SERIOUSLY - there would have been a good chance of me dlying up there to catch them again, thats how good they were. Enjoy it man!! Damn i forgot to post on here after the Wollongong gig but suffice to say it rocked very hard. The band and Dio were great. I swear the setlist was shorter than some european setlists I'd seen. Are you serious? 500 people? that's less than Wollongong had turnout. I caught an Iommi pick! Rocking!! EDIT: You're right, Vinny Appice's solo was wicked, veeery cool! |

I went to Rod Laver gig last Friday night, sound was sweet as... one of the best gig's I have ever seen. Down were slightly above average at least they revved the crowd up, although personally I thought the lead (Pantera?) dude sucked ass, he tried too hard to be cool.. whatever.. SABBATH ROCK ! |

Sabbath and Dio were brilliant, i was truly in the presence of greatness. Children Of The Sea, Shadow Of the Wind and Computer God were fkn killer! One of the best shows i've been too. I also thought Down were great, i'm a fan and i wasn't dissapointed. Bury Me In Smoke was so HEAVY! That was the 1st time i've seen Phil sober and i thought he was awesome. I was wearing a LOG shirt and Phil pointed at me and said "Nice shirt there brother" and gave me the metal sign. Kudos to you Phil  Haven't got round to posting my photos yet but my mate Marko who was further back took these       |

I know this was a long time ago but i have just joined. They were great i was suprised how good ronnie sounded.
If anyone is interested i have a good quality bootleg from the Sydney show that i could upload if anyone wants.
