Sad news. The metal world has lost a legend. Message from Wendy Dio www.ronniejamesdio.com/Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever. - Wendy Dio You can leave your condolences on Facebook www.facebook.com/OfficialRonnieJamesDioHe has influenced countless numbers of musicians worldwide. He is known as the father of our beloved horns up signal and to some had been worshiped to almost godlike status. The metal world will be mourning today, and for a long time to come. R.I.P. Dio You will be sadly missed.

DIO i really liked. Im so appeciative that i got to see him perform with Heaven and Hell. I remember the rumours after Heaven and Hell that he may bring his own band down, and it was almost like a maiden-like rumour for me. I love his solo stuff. His music has an awesome hard rock feel to it, but it's also covered with a mystique; it made me wonder. The fact that his music had the maiden-esque touch for me wasn't all of it; he seemed so humble, so grateful for each and everyone's interest in his music. His music was awesome, and so was he. Rest In Peace Dio, we all love you.
Do youself a favour and listen or watch some Dio material right now. I just finished watching his Holy Diver (live) dvd, Awesome.
NLT: Dio - Don't Talk To Strangers

Deluded, insane, psychotic etc. F**k EM. Couldn't put it better myself. Let him rest in peace. Who the hell goes and protests at someone's funeral, saying how bad they were (with filthy/vulgar language i might add), whilst his family are there mourning, as well as hundred of fans. Its F**ked.
