MaidenOz, people are getting restless!!!! When are we going to send it on? When it's ready.  Sorry guys, don't mean to sound like a girls wee wee here, but I've said this a thousand times already. Petition's going to the promoters HERE, not the band. There's no immediate rush as it's obvious we're not getting on the tour this time round. The petition is aimed at getting a tour ANYTIME not for a particular one. It is a demonstration to the Aus Tour Promoters that there is a MARKET FOR a Maiden tour. It's up to them to make it happen, NOT the band, NOR their management. Promoters are the ones who have to organise it and they won't if they don't think they're gunna make any money back from it. So simple, no promoter $$$ confidence = no Maiden tour. Tis the evil corporate world we live in I'm afraid. And to put it quite simply we don't have enough signatures yet to give the prommoters that $$$ confidence. Besides all that sorry to say, I've got some more pressing probs on the home front at the mo, which puts the petition effort on the backfoot for me right now. Tough titties.  EDIT: Stephen I'll PM you my postal address you can send em off to me now if you want. No rush, we're not ready to send em off nor am I in any kind of position financiallty to be placing any full page ads yet, so up to you if you wanna keep em with you for the time being or send em along I don't mind either way. 1340. lost fan U know, I hate to admit it, but this ONCE COMMITTED FAN may have a valid point. Maiden keep rereleasing CD's in different format and box sets, while never coming back to a country that has supported them for a long time. Maybe they are more interested in making more money these days. Hey if the Australian fans all defected, Maiden would still survive. Our money doesnt keep them going and they dont need it. Hopefully Wayne Dwyer can send this petition off to the Bruce e-mail address contained in this petition, and influence the band down here..... but I dont think it will happen (thanx for trying tho wayne) as Maiden have had ample opportunity to play concerts here. Their website shows they are going to Japan and back to England, and for this reason, I can not see them scheduling a show into Austrlia. I think we should maybe not give up on Maiden, but give up on hoping they tour Australia. If they dont come down on the Matter of Life & Death tour, I dont think they will ever come back again. One more chance!

What F**kin stupid comments. If the whole world had that piss poor attitude then nothing would ever get done. I take my hat off to every person who has even bothered to get signatures (i haven't even collected 1) because i know when Maiden do tour here again it will be because of the members on this forum! To be honest i just want them to keep releasing new albums even if they don't tour them because at the end of the day it is their F**kin killer music that keeps me happy (but a tour would be nice). I say a big F**k you to all the negative bastards out there. |

Wild guess for possible Australian tour is spring 2007, if speculated European festival shows are in summer 2007. Not just Australia, but India and China etc... Wild speculations have been that IM might announce 2007 tour dates soon. EMI Australia? Michael Coppel Presents? Michael Chugg Entertainment? Start doing your homework (finding more information). Terry Butcher, former England captain, and current manager of Sydney FC, Australia has issued the following commentary to Classicrockmagazine.com: "Hopefully, I’ll catch up with them over here in ’07." Is that Australian Spring ( ie september/october ) or European Spring ? I hope this becomes more than just speculation |
