That's what this thread was created for, started on the old forum. A co-ordinated mass petition effort to ALL the promoters with accompanying full page open letter ad in the music press mags.
Unfortunately the gathering of signatures has been a fairly un-inspiring effort.
We don't have anywhere near the numbers needed to make a dent in the promoters intere$t.

I certainly don't have the time to go collecting siggy's anymore. Don't even have the chance to get to any gigs. Apologies to Psychotron and the boys, I am rather pissed at not getting my much needed fix of local Maiden mixed with copious amounts of Black Ruskies.
(Shoozzzeee...come have cowboy shots wif me!!)

Had received emails from people interested in receiving the petition package, however that's the first and last I've heard from most of them. Certainly don't have any filled out sheets sent from anyone.

Thorpie be praised for his efforts, he's a bucket of enthusiasm for it and done better than anyone. We salute you The online petition be praised also. HAIL YOU!!

Apologies if it sounds like I've given up... many warned me it was a useless effort as they'd been there, done that all before, and learned from the experience. But I'm a stubborn, idealistic bitch. Should've listened.
I think I now understand their feelings of disappointment. Oh well live and learn.

Either that, or the past 6 months shit elsewhere and unrelated has just made me a tad jaded. (I'll wager 100 to 1 that's it) Perhaps once that's sorted itself out I'll be in the mood to deal with it again.

Still have the siggys here, if anyone wants to carry on with this count em in, I'll hold onto em for ya.

Yes, some of us did take this action and many signatures were collected, however we didn't quite get the numbers we expected. I was able to get 1400 odd but there was not many of those collections made across all of the regulars. (No disrespect but others had varying levels of interest)

Certainly don't have any filled out sheets sent from anyone." this is oh so true and if anyone wants a petition it would still be beneficial to the cause. More signatures are better than none.
