From the looks of the temporary thread, wee can make an official BeastDownunder Air trip from the Melbourne to Sydney leg and the Sydney to Brisbane leg of the tour as that seems to be where the numbers have been the highest.

I'm definitely in for the road trip. I've already got time off work for the maiden tour and sorted out accomodation in Sydney with a mate.

Now it's just a matter of flipping a coin and seeing if I am driving or flying for the Sydney show. Most likely flying as i'm going to try and make the Brisbane show too.

What about getting a few mini-busses together for Maiden fans from here to all go together...it will be like a Melbourne Maiden Army!

Looks like I'll be flying down to Melbourne on the day or day before and leave the day after concert to return to Sydney, will probably stay at my father's place whilst I'm down there.

But in saying that, I'd like to meet as many as people as I can from the BDU in both Melbourne and Sydney, so if there is going to be any get togethers, please post them.

OK can we get a show of hands for the following 2 questions... just to get an idea of where we are all standing.

1. Who is willing to do the backpacker thing as a group?

2. a)Who is willing to put up members in there own household and
b) How many are you willing to put up?


My answers:
1. YES definately, especially if sharing a room will make it significantly cheaper.

2. As Flippers and I are only in a tiny one bedroom flat, we would only have room to put someone on the couch, and I believe we already promised that space to ARISE about a year ago in a "what if" kind of scenario. Will have to ask him again now coz it's not a WHAT IF anymore!!! LOL

b) 2 (in my sydney house), if we road trip and wanna stay my holiday house for one night, which is three hours south of sydney, then i can fit around 10 there comfortably, 15 but we'd be packed in like sardines with half of us sleeping on the floor and uncomfortable. NOTE: If my parents are in the southcoast house at the time we are going up then we can just goto my sydney house, i can fit around 5-7 there comfortably.

I'm only seeing the Melbourne and Sydney shows, so i'll see what happens as far as travelling up there goes etc.

If we can get at least 10 of us on the same plane then we should start getting a group discount.
Will have to look into it a bit more.

My sis is doing a travel agents course at the moment, she's just informed me that Virgin have like a happy hour from midday to 1pm everyday so keep your eyes out on that folks, if you find a good deal let us all know!

Timetable's a joke. Leaves 8:15am from Melbourne, doesn't get to Sydney till nearly 8 pm F**k THAT!
