Rod Laver is the perfect size, large enough floor admission area, decent seats for those who want seats... Sound shouldn't be a problem as it is not TOO big a venue, if you get what I mean... maximum 15,000 seats I think. I have seen Kiss twice, sabbath recently, Disney on Ice (dont pay out I have 3 little kids) all at Rod Laver, all excellent sound. Dont worry about the sound at Rod Laver it will be good !

No way man.... - Dunno how they will organise it all, but in total its around 20000, atleast 15000. However, wouldn't have a clue about the sound. People who attended Motley or the Gunners can let us know, or those who will attend Motorhead (such as Mitch).

*I reject your reality and substitute my own* Oops... my bad.. Acer sounds excellent... similar size crowd to Rod Laver then... Ive not seen any concerts there before but my wife said the chili peppers sound was really good. The only time i have been to acer was to see walking with dinosaurs and i was up in the corporate boxes ( if you look at the seating plan on the other page its the ring in black about 1/2 way to the back ) and the view was excellent - it is quite steep so pretty much every seat is still pretty close.

I was in the cheap seats for wrestling once, and suffice to say, they were pretty much specs. If you're getting seats, get close ones! As long as the seats arent on the ground floor, its pretty elevated like Skrabs said so you will see good if you're in elevated seats, but get the FRONT of the elevated seats, not the ones really high (cheap seats)!!!!

or those who will attend Motorhead (such as Mitch). Motorhead is at the Enmore Theatre, not Acer Arena *edit* in response to the comments about sound at Rod Laver, that place has good sound, no need to worry about it. Heaven and Hell sounded fantastic there, and the sound at Eric Clapton was great as well. I've never heard any bad comments about the sound there.

You should have free reign over whatever tickets you want, but I will double check with ticketek and confirm. Certainly haven't heard anything about us only having a certain allocation to sell from.
Tim should be pretty spot on though, it might seem that the whole of australia is joining up at the moment, but I still don't forsee the FC selling out the arenas all by itself.

Thanks for the info, Troop. This finally lays that fact to rest of which tickets we can buy.

My friends dragged me to The AREAS in 2005 and the sound was great. I got a cheap seat but still got an excellent stage view. It can certainly fit more than 8,000 ppl in there.
