Was just talking about something similar to that they other day. Something to put up outside the venue which is BDU identifiable so we know where to meet up. Kinda like pissing on all the trees in the immediate vicinity....marking our spot so to speak. Saving a spot for all BDUers in line out front. Your kidding me, we were discussing this Monday wow BTG has ears to my walls  YES lets do the banner  |

Hey all, I had a good idea to make a banner for the tour. Something we can all put together and hopefully wave around at the gig. I have no idea what to put on it, but I guess we can make it a BDU related banner. Have all our names on it and put our thank yous and whatnot on it. Who knows, Bruce might take it from us and wave it to the crowd like he's done so many times before with banners at other shows. Everyone throw some ideas around and we'll work from there. Well.. I'm going to print my drawings out and try to give it to the guys anyway (don't ask me how,..I don't have a plan).. Do you want to put some of them on the banner? Sure, that would be great. |

I rexckon would be cool so that the band realsie we're travelling all around Australia to see them, maybe they will appreciate us. I really reckon guys like Beetle who have talked with the band, and the flag flyers at Earls Court last year and shit, have all added up to them realising they F**king got dedicated fans down here F**ken!!
But it will be hard to hold up a banner during the gig

^I have 3 in total at that size, one for you, one for me and a spare!
I also have one at 730mm x 55cm (approx) which is the smaller one pictured.
The full paper (A3) advert is beside it.
So, Trooper you have a sticker (800mm) and poster on it's way soon! I'll send a PM when sent with costs, $10 postage.
I have the tubes ready to post, will get to it early next week.

I was thinking of just getting fabric and drawing some images on it, then we can use a fine brush and write what we need to do. I know Spotlight have heaps of stores around Melbourne, so we could try and organize a day to get together and make it.
The fabric we'd use would be pretty thick since the cheapest fabric is pretty thin and the paint would go right through it.
One of my mates did one for the Blind Guardian show, it was about a meter long by 30cm high. Ours would haveto be about a meter high by say, 2 meters long or alittle less for it to have the full effect.
I'll ring around today and see what I can find since it's my day off from work. We also have some good fabric stores down in Mornington, so I can check around there aswell...plus im sure i can find some stuff in our spare room.
We'd have to use acrylic paint as oil or water based paints would just go right through the fabric and will look like a baby vomited on it. I have shit loads of acrylic paints in my studio, so i can just use those.
Finally i'd need a image of the alphabet used in the Iron Maiden text, I'm sure someone would be able to find one if we look hard enough.
I'll get back to you when I find some fabric, please feel free to look aswell as we might be able to get material alot cheaper in other areas.
Akalilith, would you make a unique design for the banner, or just use one of the many original eddies around on the net? Cos we could make a Aussie eddie, have him wearing a wife beater, shorts, thongs, a cork hat and have him with a VB in his hand while sitting in one of those el-cheapo fold out chairs. lol!
Just an idea.
Cool. Feel free to look around at different stores for different material we can use. I'll have a look around my house today and go down to the fabric stores we have here. I'd say we'll come back at the end of the week and see what we all have to offer.
