The colouring reminds me of And Justice For All. I doubt it will even be one-tenth as good as that album

Just heard the new single 'The Day That Never Comes', it's ok, nothing special, the intro sounds like Wolfmother 'Minds Eye'. At least the production is better than St Anus

I'm impressed, sounds better than I expected. The second half is much better than the first. It is the single though, so I am hoping the rest of the material is a bit more interesting and a tad thrashier.
Drums are WAAAAY too high in the mix though.

LISTENING TO THIS NOW A - the drums are way too high in the mix B - james sounds like he is tone deaf in the first half C - it sounds like they had 2 songs and just stuck them together 1st half to keep the post black album fans happy ( it sounds like every othe slowish song they have made since then ) and the 2nd half to try and win back the old school fans. but in saying that , the heavy part still sounds shitty and hollow. This is easily one of the worst Metallica songs I have heard. I make no secret that I dont like this band much and this basically reinforces mu dislike for them. They should really consider retirement.

I will take the in your face drum sound over St Anger anyday.... This song won't set the world on fire... but it is ok, hope for a bit more on the rest of the album though. I really like Unforgiven... II isn't that great... III doesn't fill me with a lot of hope...

I like Cyanide better as well, but this song is growing on me. The intro reminds me of Wolfmother's 'Minds eye'
