heard this song and also;THE DAY THAT NEVER COMES,and CYANIDE...well it's better than what they have released since that whole"LOAD-RELOAD,ST ANGER" rubbish,but it's still not THRASH as jet head may seem to beleive(not being nasty mate by saying that either)it more like in places like alice in chains/generic tired metal.
no big killer riffs in those songs,drumming is better though/mix is shit due to it being a stream download i suppose.metallica seem to be clinging by a thread to try and get us older fans back,it may work for some but i'm not totally convinced just yet...tried watching their live performance of the entire "PUPPETS" set in germany(classic album BTW")they totally stuffed it,no brutallity in their deleiverance of those songs,go and watch footage of CLIFF'EM ALL or footage from "JUSTICE TOUR" saw that tour personally in 89.
basically they sound tired to me,kudos for trying but they left the thrash sound along time ago and it shows by this lack luster attempt to try and regain it...leave it to these following bands
SLAYER
EXODUS
KREATOR
SODOM
DESTRUCTION
TESTAMENT,and countless others

That drum sounds is even worse than St Anger... who tuned that kit? The snare sounds horrid... the drum sound in the intro when you first hear the drum.... I hope it sounds better on cd....

Wow that's still pretty thrashy. Not perfect, but it's fun! I've heard cyanide too and I thought that sounded promising. I'll be buying the album I think...

Lars has never been that great of a drummer, i'm hoping this time he can create some interesting fills at least.
Couldn't stand the drum sound on the Loads and i actually embraced the tin can sound of St Anger,.....at first, now it just fkn annoys me
