At the moment I am thinking the Legacy is pretty dam special... what an awesome song. agreed, its a brilliant ending to the album. the acoustic parts at the start are a tad odd in some parts

I think this album has to be listened to at a reasonable volume... it is so stong and the songs build into monsters most of the time - I love listening to it so far!

I got the leak like everyone else, but i waited till friday lunch when i had to drive up to sydney for the kreator gig. I'm so glad i waited till then. Absolutely sensational album. I was never one to enjoy maiden's softer songs, not to mention i hated Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, but this grew on me as i listened to it 3 times on the way up. Each time got about 10 times better than the last, and by the end of my trip, i loved every song. I was also there at the launch at Utopia and snapped it up despite already having a (delayed) pre-order with a store in canberra. Easily the best thing the band have done since their first 5 albums, and i just can't stop listening to it. Truly a hats off to the boys for not being predictable and giving in to all the casual new fans who only want to hear their newest stuff. It was a real 'F**k you' to scenesters and i couldn't be happier. We all know maiden can write great happy and jumpy heavy metal, but for a masterpiece like this...'nuff said Can't wait to see them in december \m/

I don't really have a favourite Maiden album, they all mean something different to me. I guess i have favourite eras... and that changes all the time.
