Actually....I have to agree with that.....sorta LOL  Although I haven't heard much of the Blaze era stuff, if songs such as Clansman and Sign of the Cross are anything to go by as being the norm, I'd say Stormster absolutely has a good point there. I still hate Blaze's voice though. sucked big time  Its not the norm - theyre stand outs. Whats missing from VXI is love - there isnt any love in the album, its as though they went in to make an album because they had to not because they wanted to. Id guess that Blaze had a contract for 2 studio albums so it was a means to an end. Dont get me wrong - I like Blazes voice did so before he weas in maiden but as good a singer as i think he is , he was the wrong choice for Maiden. ahhhh ok... I'd have to listen to the albums to know exactly what you mean but I get ya. And you hit the nail right on the head there saying he wasn't the right choice for Maiden..... again not having heard his other stuff I can't make a comment on whether I personally think it's good or not but as for Maiden... he just couldn't cut the mustard. But shit he had big shoes to try and fill in the first place. (or should that be a big voicebox?) |

I like his own stuff, it's very different. Very dark and melancholy, and it obviously suits his voice... can't listen to it at the moment coz of my phase of life, but I enjoyed it when I did. Dunno if it'd be any better live than his live Maiden stuff : p But shit he had big shoes to try and fill in the first place. (or should that be a big voicebox?) OH YEAH |

Blaze has a dark voice, the albums were never gonna be love n duvvy like bruce, and i realise your talking asbout the band as a hole in producing the album. Como Estais Amigo is such a beautiful song!
