I dont know how it is a problem. SiT used to be a favourite but I got bored with it. The last time I put it on and the last time I heard it when my son was listening to it I still found it boring. With Virtual XI when I first heard it i though it was a really strong album, but again, I started to tire of it - really easily this time. thats not to say that at sometime in the futire if I was to listen to either of these, probably not with VXI though, my opinion wont have changed. The exact opposite happened with no proayer though - i didnt really like or appreciate this album for about 10 years - still not a faVE but a good album none the less. I honestly cant see why people hate txf though, besides the fact that Bruce isnt singing on it.

The fact that you even gave VXI the time of day, lol. That album made me vomit day one. Today, I have nothing left but dry reach for it. Somewhere in Time is high on my scale of best albums.

I just dont get what people see in SiT. Title track, stranger, lonliness and dejavu are good tracks - CSiT and Stranger are excellent, but the rest are pretty average IMO. Alexander used to be one of my favourite songs but htese days it does nothing but bore me. The only album that I havent gone thru the cycle of liking then being bored with is 7th son and with with the exceptions of sit and vxi Ive eventually started liking the albums again. Time will tell with SiT whether I get into it again.

In all honesty... I went into the city to pick up Virtual XI as soon as it was released... went home... played it once and put it on the shelf... and didn't listen to it for 2 or 3 years....

I did the same and I initially liked it, but in saying that I liked it, It was still pretty much all downhill after futureal. I dont think Ive listened to it , apart from a couple of tracks that are on compilations , since Bruce rejoined.

SIT is by far one of their greatest albums. I still listen it now and it takes me back to 1986. Loneliness, Alexander, Sea Of Madness, Heaven Can Wait.... the whole thing is solid Maiden. I've always found this album superior to 7th Son and is my favourite from the classic line up era. Virtual XI ain't no masterpiece, if they canned Angel & Gambler(Arry what were you smoking?) and the embarrasing When Two Worlds Collide then it would be better. But then again after TXF the sound of them scratching their nails down a blackboard would of been a sigh of relief. I can't understand why SIT is disliked, it 'KIN ROCKS! Let's rubbish The X Factor and Virus single!!!!!!!!

Im gonna put Sit in my mp3 player tomorrow and see if my enjoyment levels are different to last time - it always seems to hit a nerve when i put it down - maybe there is something there that i have been missing of late, I just hope i dont compare it to amolad cos thats pretty much the only thing Ive been listening to since it leaked last week.

I remember at the time guitar synths were the next big trend, Judas Priest got in first with Turbo and totally messed it up. Then a few months later Maiden released SIT and shown us how to use them to great effect. It does sound overproduced and the guitars sound like keyboards at times but i don't know......... there is just something about it. Plus the cover just rules
