Alright I'm signed up for IMFC now, and apparently waiting ~48 hours for my IMOC activation thing to come through! This is great. Heck just joining the IMFC is an awesome enough feeling to start with.

Tazzie - perhaps post that ticket info at the start of this thread (about the confirmation code being sent on the 19th, etc.). Althought i joined thew fanclub, my main concern was how the buying of maiden tickets would occur, and that pretty much answered some of it. Im sure others are wondering the same thing. Cheers!

I was just about to buy a Iron Maiden membership and I saw this...
When you join your membership pack will include the following;
1) Glossy photo of the band 2) Exclusive FC sticker 3) Laminated personal membership card 4) Enamel club badge (replica of Steve Harris' Bass) 5) The latest club magazine 6) Discount Vouchers 7) Full membership of the Iron Maiden Online Club
PLUS 3 full colour magazines per year Advance news Regular competitions Advanced access concert tickets (UK only) Discounts on Megastore prices Exclusive club merchandise
Umm, does this effect us? They said we'd get the chance to buy tickets in advance, but from the looks of it we need to be in the UK.
I don't understand why on the Ticketek website it allows people to purchase tickets early, and the Iron Maiden website says we can't cos we have to live in the UK, have they only allowed this with the Australian fans?

I'd say refer to the official announcement on this one. Snippet "To allow Iron Maiden fans in Australia to get right up close to the band,the fan club are organising advance booking of tickets for members and running a special draw for them whereby 60 winners and friend at each show will be given first access to the venue and be first to the stage barrier. Full details will be on www.ironmaiden.com. Tickets go on sale to the public 9am Thursday 27th September, but members of the Iron Maiden fan club get exclusive first access to purchase tickets from 12 noon Thursday 20th September through to 12 noon Monday 24th September. More details soon! " EDIT: It still seems to be causing a lot of confusion for people both on this forum and the Iron Maiden one as to whether presales apply to IMOC members who are NOT also FC members Maybe we should telephone Laz at the fan club and see if we can get it sorted out once and for all. Edit to add again: ALSO Refer to Tazz's post on the previous page (see larger bold quote) OK ummmmm I've got my finger teetering on that panic button again.... I've just noticed on the IMOC underneath everybody's user names the following quotes: Not an FC member - no pre-sale for me :- ( and on others.. I'm an FC member - bring on the pre-sale! Is it time to press the button yet?!!! Are you looking in the free forum where alot of people aren't IMFC OR IMOC members? My IMFC expired and I rejoined IMOC only this time on wed night and my listing already says I'm an FC member - bring on the pre-sale! So I am not sure what you are worried about? Are you a member and does it say I'm an FC member - bring on the pre-sale!?

hi guys i am a little confused if you become a member have you already received your allocated number id to get pre sales tickets as i want to become a member to get the presales just confused OK Ill re send a post that was written, People please go back from page one it has all the information! Posted by admin on IMOC: News of how and when will be posted on the main website in due course. You'll be sent a presale code via Private Message, probably on the 19th. You'll also get a link to the ticketing site. Put the two together and voila. Nearer the actual day, I'll confirm exactly when things are being sent - you'll have all the info in good time. and The fc presale lasts several days, we won't be selling out the venue to FC only so I wouldn't worry too much

Thats what everybody on here is going by. So yes, according to the website if you're an IMOC member then you will have access to presale tickets. www.ironmaiden.com/index.php?categoryid=11However, I just decided to pay the extra 30 bucks and become and IMFC member just to make sure.

If you read the fine print, all you need is a IMOC to gain access to the presales. The Iron Maiden Online Club (IMOC)
Approaching its first anniversary, the IMOC exists entirely online. The benefits include:
- We'll automatically email you the latest news and offers directly to your inbox - 'First To The Barrier' - 60 fanclub members plus guest will get special early access to selected gigs, enabling them to get right up to the front of the stage barrier! - Automatic entry each month into our draw for signed Maiden collectables and rarities - Access to exclusive content, including studio reports, fanclub-only photographs and videos - A members-only forum where you can talk to other fanclub members, arrange meets, post your artwork and photographs and lots more.
The Iron Maiden Online club costs just £10 a year to join, and membership is free to existing IMFC members. So you have nothing to worry about. Hehe!! not bad for $25.
